Yahchouch, Endless valleys & waterfalls.

Walk through one of the richest biodiverse areas in Lebanon with stunning views.

Overview

Yahchouch is in Keserwan District & is about 45 min north of Beirut. It’s about 650m above sea level.
It is known for its amazing valleys and natural reserves, specially “Jabal Moussa” reserve.
Hiking there always goes through river beds and waterfalls, and there’s the known Chouwen lake.
There are many waterfalls with some offering some jumps, and hiking there in itself passes through some interesting terrains.

What You Can Do

Yahcouch is one of the best swimming destination in Lebanon because of it unique waterfalls and rivers that has clear water and the best activity that you can do is hiking jabal moussa and discover nearby villages. Yahchouch also is full of caves and water sources that you can explore also you can find traditional Lebanese houses.

Some History

The name “Yahchouch” is Syriac for “Yeh Hoshusho” meaning “the suffering god” because the god Adonis was wounded in Nahr Ibrahim
