Yahchouch is in Keserwan District & is about 45 min north of Beirut. It’s about 650m above sea level.
It is known for its amazing valleys and natural reserves, specially “Jabal Moussa” reserve.
Hiking there always goes through river beds and waterfalls, and there’s the known Chouwen lake.
There are many waterfalls with some offering some jumps, and hiking there in itself passes through some interesting terrains.

The name “Yahchouch” is Syriac for “Yeh Hoshusho” meaning “the suffering god” because the god Adonis was wounded in Nahr Ibrahim
